Hurricane Melissa Update: Temporary Suspension of Huqqa Jamaica Operations at Hyatt and Partner Resorts
Information on Resort Closures, Service Transfers, and Guest Options
In response to the significant impact of Hurricane Melissa, Huqqa Jamaica wishes to advise that normal operations across our partner Hyatt All-Inclusive Resorts and other affiliated properties have been temporarily suspended until further notice.
Our teams are actively working alongside resort management and local authorities to assess conditions, restore infrastructure, and ensure the safety of guests and staff before full operations resume.
Affected partner resorts include:
• Breathless Montego Bay Resort & Spa
• Dreams Rose Hall Resort & Spa
• Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall
• Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall
• Secrets St. James Montego Bay
• Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay
• Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa
• Zoëtry Montego Bay Jamaica
At this time, we do not have confirmed reopening dates for these locations. However, Huqqa Jamaica is committed to maintaining uninterrupted guest experiences and has begun relocating operations to alternate partner venues.
Temporary Service Transfers
To ensure continued service availability, Huqqa Jamaica will operate select experiences from alternate partner resorts and Poko Loko Floating Bar in Ocho Rios:
Jet Car Experiences
Clear Kayak Drone Photoshoots
Signature Hookah Service and Lounge Experiences
Guests holding confirmed bookings at affected properties may transfer their activities to these operational venues or reschedule their experiences for a later date, at no additional cost.
Guest Policy
All prepaid bookings and deposits for dates affected by the storm will be honored, rescheduled, or transferred to an alternate operating site.
Guests may also request full service credits to be used at any Huqqa Jamaica partner location once regular operations resume.
Our customer service team remains available to assist with rescheduling, credit issuance, or additional support.
Huqqa Jamaica remains committed to guest satisfaction, team safety, and the restoration of our island operations. We extend sincere gratitude to our resort partners, government agencies, and all who continue to support Jamaica’s recovery efforts.
